My pizza heart belongs to Pizzeria Otto but we have an open relationship.
Probably the kind of food I’ve eaten the most in Portland is pizza. Blame it on my time in NYC where pizza is like a religion, or the fact that pizza is simply delicious. So when I heard about Pizza On Earth, I thought, “what a great way to eat pizza and do some good at the same time!”
11 Portland pizzerias have come together for this holiday promotion, and will donate a portion (“a slice,” if you will) of their profits on Tuesdays in December to Partners for a Hunger-Free Oregon. You get to eat delicious pizza, and effective anti-hunger programs get funded. Sounds like a deal to me.
So head out for pizza on December 12, 19 and 26, at one of these generous pizzerias: Apizza Scholls, Dove Vivi, Fire + Stone, Flying Pie Pizzeria, Gladsone Street Pizza, HOTLIPS Pizza, Oven and Shaker, Pizza Jerk, Pizzeria Otto, The Pocket Pub, and Red Sauce Pizza.
Everyone wins!

I love that you can eat pizza and serve a good cause at the same time. Just looking at that picture of pizza made me hungry!
I’m mostly dairy-free so I don’t have pizza often, but I love that many of these places in PDX offer a dairy-free pizza option. And what a great cause – Partners for a Hunger-Free Oregon is such a fantastic organization!
What a great cause and I’m a fan of many of those pizza joints already – now I have a convenient rationalization for pizza Tuesday
What a great way to give back—by eating pizza no less. I love it when businesses support important causes like this.
There is pizza on every corner around here! What a great cause, and an extra good reason to grab a slice.
That pizza looks amazing! And I love when restaurants partner with important causes – gives a good reason to get out of the house and enjoy a bite to eat.
