To The Moon From Nuvrei’s Marius Pop To Open In Modera Belmont

City records—and the Modera Belmont On Site Retail Page—indicate that To The Moon, a new venture by pâtissier Marius Pop of Nuvrei fame, is going to open up in the Modera’s ground floor, northwest corner. Modera Belmont opened in spring of 2018, boasting luxuries like a coffee bar, community game room, pet spa, and fitness center. On-site retail is another bonus they’ve promoted, and To the Moon is one of a handful of tenants; it will join Hat Yai, Puffle Waffle, and Brunch Box on the food side, and NW Barbers and The Portland Girl on the services side.

I’ve perused the city records and all the things you need to create baked goods—e.g., dough mixer and sheeter, proof box, oven—are in the plans, so “baking on premises” looks likely (you’d be surprised how many places don’t bake on location). Expect coffee/espresso to be ever present, too. There will be places to sit and hang out (seating and a standing bar), with a max occupancy of 43 guests.

I’ve reached out to the folks at Nuvrei for more information and will pass that on when I get it. Nuvrei makes some of my favorite croissants in Portland (Pop worked with Francois Payard in NYC, which says a lot), so I’m personally pretty happy about them coming to the east side with their wondrous baked goods.
