Last year’s Dumpling Week dumplings at Kachka.
Portland has a lot of “food week” festivals, but I think Dumpling Week might be my favorite. It’s back again, now in its sixth year—this time around you have 35 places to choose from (down from 36 last year) and the price has remained a cool ten bucks or less per dish.
Dumpling Week is February 1 to 8, Saturday to Saturday. Like last year, you can find the full list of participating restaurants on the Dumpling Week website, (also in map form). Here are the dumplings that have piqued my interest this year (here’s Dumpling Week 2019 for comparison).

Las Primas. Empanadas filled with Peruvian chicken, smokey cheese and chili-pepper salsa. 3971 N Williams Avenue. lasprimaskitchen.com. Tuesday-Friday 11:30am-3pm & 5pm-8pm; Saturday 10am-4pm; Sunday & Monday closed.
Lovely Rita. Butternut squash agnolotti with chicken ragu. 15 NW 4th Avenue. Lovely Rita website. Sunday-Thursday 9am-11pm; Friday and Saturday 9am-midnight.
Produce Row Cafe. Bacon ricotta gnocchi, scallion, Fontina cheese sauce, fried onions. 204 SE Oak Street. producerowcafe.com. Monday-Friday 11am-late; Saturday-Sunday 10am-late.
Sherpa Kitchen. Momo, which is a popular dish from Himalaya region of Nepal, Tibet, and Bhutan, which is filled with seasoned beef or pork and veggies. 930 SE Oak Street. sherpakitchenpdx.com. Noon to 10pm daily.
