As someone who loves to eat food from the world of global cuisine, you can bet I’m pretty chuffed about the upcoming campaign, Around the World in 82 Dishes. It’s billed as “an international food tour of 82nd Avenue,” and judging from the list of participants, that’s right on target. Tacos up close at Taco Pedaler
So, it’s National Taco Day today, and Portland has an impressive array of good tacos to choose from. You’ll hear people wax poetic about their favorites—perhaps it’s ¿Por Qué No? with the lines. Or Tight Tacos’ street tacos—now in a new location at The Zipper building. Perhaps you have some favorite guisados at Mi Mero Mole. I’m sure there are others (feel free to tell me about them in the comments). For me, it’s the fresh, flavorful tacos at Taco Pedaler that really satisfy. I’m so pleased that Beaverton Restaurant Week is back! Produced by the Beaverton Downtown Association and the City of Beaverton, it starts tomorrow, Thursday, September 26 and lasts through Sunday, October 6, 2019. Close to a week and a half, but who’s counting? 44 restaurants around downtown Beaverton are participating, which means the ability to get to these places via transit is even easier than in past years.
