5. Red Sauce Pizza Moving to Fremont and NE 47th Avenue

Yesterday afternoon I opened up Instagram and saw the news: Red Sauce Pizza is moving! I never thought I’d see the day, since they are such a presence on that strip of 42nd Avenue. They’ll be moving into a space on NE Fremont and 47th Avenue, which can only be the location of the now-shuttered Anchor End (and before that, Thrive). Anchor End closed in early August 2019. Anchor End Eurocafé and Bakery and Its Beautiful Mural

A new spot is opening up on NE Fremont in the old Thrive Sauce & Bowls space — Anchor End. While I’m sad to see that Thrive shuttered, I’m eager to give Anchor End’s food and drink a try.

One of my morning walks sometimes takes me up the Alameda Ridge, usually for a stop in at the NE Fremont location of Prince Coffee (I love their lattes and the aroma of fresh made stroopwafels). On a recent jaunt up the Ridge I noticed that Thrive had closed (I so enjoyed their healthy salads and bowls) and a “Eurocafé and bakery” named Anchor End is moving in.
