Beaverton Restaurant Week is Back!


I’m so pleased that Beaverton Restaurant Week is back!  Produced by the Beaverton Downtown Association and the City of Beaverton, it starts tomorrow, Thursday, September 26 and lasts through Sunday, October 6, 2019. Close to a week and a half, but who’s counting? 44 restaurants around downtown Beaverton are participating, which means the ability to get to these places via transit is even easier than in past years. Beaverton’s Inaugural Restaurant Week Starts Thursday


Back in August the news came out that Beaverton is launching a restaurant week; the aptly-named Beaverton Restaurant Week starts this Thursday, September 28 and ends Sunday, October 8. Restaurant weeks are a lot of fun and I remember the early days of them in NYC—you got some insane deals (I remember an incredible meal at the now-shuttered Chanterelle in Tribeca) and a chance to try out a new place for less dough. They still continue all over the country, so it’s clear that restaurant-goers are eager to participate in a restaurant week in their community. Support Black Owned Restaurants Week Starts August 21


I know there’s a lot of difficult stuff going on in the world right now, so I’m going to tell you about something that I hope will inspire you and put a smile on your face. Monday, August 21 to Sunday, August 27 is Support Black Owned Restaurants Week here in Portland. The point of this restaurant week is pretty straightforward—support and eat at black owned businesses. And the restaurant week’s organizers have put together some excellent tools to help you decide where to find some seriously good eats in town.
