It’s back! World Vegan Month 2025 is happening in Portland throughout the month of November. Now in its third year, this is a great opportunity to try and experience the variety of vegan and plant-based offerings in Portland, through dishes made especially for this occasion.
The other day I got news of the opening of a new cart in the Cartopia food cart pod called Burger Ritual. Sunday is for cannoli at Cartopia. Over at the Cartopia food pod Holy Shannoli is doing a cannoli pop-up on Sunday from noon to 8pm. You can see their menu here—much more elaborate than the traditional cannoli decorated with chocolate chips, nuts, or candied citrus peel. 1207 SE Hawthorne Blvd, Portland
A new brewery and taphouse from Allgood Brewing Company is opening in that building just south of the Farmhouse Carts pod (a space just north of Cibo on SE 35th Place. They’ll bring beer, food, and more to this location in the heart of the Richmond neighborhood.
Artisserie Lake Oswego is open. This French pastry shop and bakery opened at the end of August in Lake Oswego (they’ve been on NW 23rd Avenue for a while). They offer croissants, macarons, cakes, baguettes, and more. And brunch! Local influencer @micbanh was there recently and wrote about the brunch:
“The brunch menu is available until 3pm and features dishes like the Courgette Quiche, Suprême Dubai French Toast, Heirloom Cherry Tomato Toast, and more. They also serve bubbly and cocktails for those looking to indulge a little extra!” 50 First Street, Lake Oswego
