Dinger’s Deli is now at Wayfinder Beer. They have brought their vegan sandwiches there, and their menu will co-exist with the regular Wayfinder menu. “Dingers is famous for recreating classic, absurdly delicious, glorious NY-style meat sandwiches entirely from plants. Their house-made vegan meats are so convincing, so delicious, and so heavily praised that at some point we stopped asking questions and just started eating.” 304 SE 2nd Avenue, Portland

Small Bites: Taqueria Mexa, Deals, Dediko, Ice Cream, and More

Taqueria Mexa interior. Amazing what kind of photos you can get when you live in your community.
This is the decor at Taqueria Mexa at their NE 82nd Avenue location.

Taqueria Mexa is opening a second location. They’ll be taking over the Poblano Pepper space by PSU. They have a location on NE 82nd Avenue—right next to where Florence of Nana’s Exquisite Confections was (she’s got a new spot further down 82nd, opening soon)—and their food is really good. We took some home one day and absolutely loved it.

This is a great addition to Southwest Portland. They’ll be open every day starting at 10am, and closing at 8pm on Sundays, 9pm Monday through Thursday, and 10pm on Friday and Saturday. 1921 SW 6th Avenue, Portland

Il Corso is for lunch. They’ve changed their hours, which are now noon to 7pm, Tuesday through Saturday. “Our new menu is definitely what you want for a nice comfortable lunch or your Power Lunch with friends!” Their new chef, Keenan McDonald, has created this new menu.

They have 10 wines by the glass, 5 cocktails (including one NA), beer, cider, NA wine and beer, and soda for drinks. The Il Corso food menu has a nice variety: Marconas and olives, a panzanella salad (you can add burrata to that, too), cured meats and cheese, and “The Tony”—crispy Mortadella, melted Provolone, Dijon mustard, herb aioli, all on brioche with chili crisp. 1204 NW Glisan Street, Portland

Yin Yang Burger officially opens today. This is a new burger truck at CORE that’s been in a little bit of a soft mode so far. “At Yin Yang Burger, we bring together Asian-inspired ingredients while still having a take on some of the classics. It’s all about balance in every bite!” Nice.
