Over the years, Bridgetown Bites has published numerous stories about Portland restaurant openings and closings. But what’s different about this year, is that I kept a simple list of those we covered, in reverse-chronological order. I thought it would be fun to look back on that list, and make a few observations.

3 Doors Down Cafe Has Closed in Portland

In the words of the band that shares the same name, “I’m here without you, baby, but you’re still on my lonely mind”: the 3 Doors Down Cafe has closed. Active since the 1990s, this is another instance of “old Portland” leaving—and yet another restaurant closure in these strange economic times.
