I’m happy to write here about the East Side Dining Guide (full disclosure: I work on the committee that has put the East Side Dining Guide together). A project of the 82nd Avenue Business Association, it’s a guide and map that focuses on the restaurants, bars, cafes, and food carts along 82nd Avenue: from Cully in the north to Brentwood-Darlington in the south.

Around the World in 82 Dishes Starts October 21

The premiere event from the 82nd Avenue Business Association is, arguably, their Around the World in 82 Dishes food week. Some of my favorite things on 82nd Avenue.

After being cancelled in 2020, Around the World in 82 Dishes—a celebration of global food options situated on and around 82nd Avenue—is back! This event is produced by the 82nd Avenue Business Association and is really a way to celebrate Portland’s most diverse area through food and drink within the 82nd Avenue of Roses Business District, an almost 5-mile long and 1-mile wide section of Portland—think the Clackamas County line to NE Sandy Blvd, and between SE 80th Avenue to 92nd Avenue.
