Cowboy’s Burgers has opened in Gresham. Their first day open was Tuesday, October 6, and they have gotten a lot of positive reviews—one person remarked, “Nothing like it in the area.” They have a pretty big menu, too. Burgers, of course, but also sandwiches (e.g., gyro, Philly cheese steak, BLT), salads, appetizers, breakfast, tacos, burritos, and more. Pamana is open. This Filipino restaurant from the folks at Baon Kainan is now open and in residence at The Hoxton hotel lobby. For their grand opening week, which started on Wednesday, September 3 and goes until Sunday, September 7, you can get:
Brunch from 9am to 2pm
NA drinks from Pamana and cocktails from Lovely Rita on Saturday and Sunday
One red envelope comes with every order during the grand opening week (while supplies last).
There will also be a local DJ spinning on the weekend.

I know I sound like a broken record, but it’s always interesting to see what the top 5 posts are the most-read in any given month. In October it was restaurant openings, the bread festival, and our list of Thanksgiving in Portland options (which has been updated multiple times with new places to get pies, turkey, and more).
Also In October we saw over 22,000 unique visitors who generated close to 29,000 page views. That’s an increase of 17% and 26%, respectively, from the previous month.

Haitian food lovers, you have something to celebrate—TAPTAP Cuisine is opening a brick-and-mortar restaurant on NE Sandy Blvd. They operated on N WIlliams as a food truck with a nice (covered) outdoor seating area for many months, but now they have leveled up into a building where they can create, prepare, and offer their beautiful Haitian and Caribbean cuisine in NE Portland.
