The other day a Bridgetown Bites tipster messaged me about something called “Eyesore” that I should know about: “So this opened right by me and it’s so cute and perfect.” Color me curious. So I reached out to Eyesore’s owner and barista, Beck, to learn more about this little coffee cart she runs out of her Irvington sunroom.

Slow Pour Reopens in Sellwood

Slow Pour, a cafe in the Sellwood neighborhood, is reopening this month. They closed in late July 2025 and relocated further west from Southeast 17th Avenue (the building was sold) to Southeast 13th Avenue, and have been working on the space to transform it into the new cafe. They will likely soft open at then end of March, with a grand opening on April 20.

Small Bites: Donuts of Portland, República, Baker’s Mark, and More

The donuts of Portland. Comedian Brandon Lyons is going to all the donut shops in Portland. He started with Coco Donuts. Spoiler: he is not into the mochi donut (at least the ones at Coco), but liked the raised glazed, which is the standard donut he’s using when possible. So far he’s been to Annie’s, Doe, Delicious, Pip’s, and more. Multiple locations
