bb.q Chicken celebrates 30 years. The folks from Korean fried chicken chain bb.q Chicken reached out to me to inform me that this September marks bb.q Chicken’s 30th anniversary. And not only that, it’s also the birthday of their beloved mascot, ChiBBoQ. Happy birthday Bridgetown Bites! That’s right: Bridgetown Bites turns eight years old today. On July 3, 2017, I launched this website with the desire to write about the Portland food and drink scene. It’s grown and changed over the years, but the mission remains the same.
In honor of these eight years, I thought I’d put together eight things I’ve enjoyed learning about over those years, in Portland food and drink. In some cases, I’ve changed my attitude about long-held beliefs. NB: This list is by no means comprehensive.

We have a Delta Carts Food Pod update: They had their soft open yesterday, Tuesday June 17!
Last week I went by to see the space for myself. At my visit, so much of it was complete—the patio, which takes up much of the space, a few carts in, seating, landscaping—such a change from where they started. Here are some photos I took and a little bit of additional details I learned while there.
