It’s back! Dumpling Week 2026 arrives this Sunday, February 15. After Salad Week (natch), Dumpling Week is my favorite food week in Portland (we keep a list of the others over in our Portland Food and Drink Festivals page). This year, over 40 restaurants are participating in Dumpling Week.

Small Bites: End of Wilderton, Donuts, Good Measure, and More

The end of Wilderton. Bummer news about this NA distiller in Hood River. They closed their tasting room in August 2025 and the distillery will close at the end of January. One of the founders, Brad Whiting, said this: “We endeavoured to find a new steward of the brand for the past several months, but alas none worked out so the brand/IP etc will be shelved in the hopes to be resurrected at some point in the future. The distillery and tasting room are now closed and decommissioned.” More details here.

Earlier this week, I mentioned that a restaurant named Gado Gado will move into the now-shuttered My Canh space later this year, and wondered if it was the same Gado Gado as the robust and popular Asian food popup. Today I learned via Eater that Portland Monthly confirms it. This is pretty exciting news for the Hollywood District! Their food looks and sounds delicious.
