Pamana is open. This Filipino restaurant from the folks at Baon Kainan is now open and in residence at The Hoxton hotel lobby. For their grand opening week, which started on Wednesday, September 3 and goes until Sunday, September 7, you can get:

  • Brunch from 9am to 2pm
  • NA drinks from Pamana and cocktails from Lovely Rita on Saturday and Sunday
  • One red envelope comes with every order during the grand opening week (while supplies last).
  • There will also be a local DJ spinning on the weekend.

Summer Nights, happening in the Parkrose neighborhood, is coming up on Wednesday, July 10, from 5pm to 9pm. So what is Summer Nights? It’s a community gathering with a night market, live music, dancing, and family-friendly activities, hosted by Historic Parkrose. Head To Bake America Great Again This Thursday

This Thursday hails the arrival of the holiday fundraiser, Bake America Great Again. It’s in its fifth year, and I can attest to it being a great event—all ages welcome and seriously family-friendly; I attended last in 2017 and brought home a bunch of delicious things. It was at Pip’s then, but this year it’s at Level Beer, located at 5211 NE 148th Avenue in Northeast Portland. Preemptive Love Coalition and RIHO will be the recipients of the donations.
