A new pizzeria and soft serve ice cream duo called Fast Times is set to open in the original Sizzle Pie location on East Burnside Street. And it is owned by Matt Jacobson, one of the founders of Sizzle Pie. Here is what we know so far.
Sunday is for cannoli at Cartopia. Over at the Cartopia food pod Holy Shannoli is doing a cannoli pop-up on Sunday from noon to 8pm. You can see their menu here—much more elaborate than the traditional cannoli decorated with chocolate chips, nuts, or candied citrus peel. 1207 SE Hawthorne Blvd, Portland

Artisserie Lake Oswego is open. This French pastry shop and bakery opened at the end of August in Lake Oswego (they’ve been on NW 23rd Avenue for a while). They offer croissants, macarons, cakes, baguettes, and more. And brunch! Local influencer @micbanh was there recently and wrote about the brunch:

Pizza Thief, a popular pizzeria in Northwest Portland selling New York-style pies, is opening a second standalone location in Southeast Portland later this year. They’ll move in the old Virtuous Pie space. I spoke with one of the owners, Tony Pasquale, about the new spot and here is what I learned.
