This pizza s’more blew my mind.

Cowboy’s Burgers has opened in Gresham. Their first day open was Tuesday, October 6, and they have gotten a lot of positive reviews—one person remarked, “Nothing like it in the area.” They have a pretty big menu, too. Burgers, of course, but also sandwiches (e.g., gyro, Philly cheese steak, BLT), salads, appetizers, breakfast, tacos, burritos, and more. Small Bites: Apple Fest, Clarklewis, Cobra Dogs, and More

Apple Fest returns this weekend. This is another fruit-focused festival from Rubinette Produce Market inside Providore. On Sunday, October 11 from 10am to 3pm, head there to taste a variety of apples from Kiyokawa Family Orchards. And Chef Gregory Redfield from Bauman’s Cider will have an “apple inspired nibble from his kitchen.” Be sure to stop in the adjacent Wine Room to sip on some Bauman’s brews.

There’s also a chance to win a $300 gift card to Bauman’s. Nice. The event is free to attend. 2340 NE Sandy Blvd, Portland

Score: A Baker Fair Is This Sunday in Portland

The inaugural Score: A Baker Fair, showcasing Portland’s independent baking scene, takes place this Sunday, June 8 at Zenger Farm. This is a chance for you to get a feel for the breadth (no pun intended) of the indie baking scene in one place, while supporting the work of this beloved urban farm.

Great American BBQ
Thursday, July 6, noon-1pm
Milwaukie Center, 5440 SE Kellogg Creek Drive, Milwaukie

Barbecue lunch at the picnic shelter at North Clackamas Park. Also: Live music by Mark Cash and Chihuahua Desert; dance performance by the Westernaires Line Dance Team; American Medical Response vintage ambulance on hand for viewing. Groups of six or more require a reservation. Ages 60 and older, $3 donation; under 60, $5 per person.
