I learned today that Cully Central and its in-house restaurant Khao Niew (Lao Street Food) will be open for lunch every day starting May 1. This is great news! I’ve been a fan of their food for quite a while and this new development opens up my lunch options to something quite delicious.

From their eblast:

“We are excited to start opening for lunch hours. Daylights are lasting longer, the weather is starting to get warmer; this is a perfect timing to begin offering lunch hours for our customers. Come on in and enjoy some afternoon dining with your friends, family, co-workers…or alone!!”

Places that take solo diners seriously are pretty great in my book.

The Cully Central part of things offers a good selection of beer as well as ciders, wines, sodas, kombucha, and juices. If you’d like to see the menu of Khao Niew—offering Lao street food, of course—check that out on their website. Personally, I’m a big fan of their Nam Khao: “Lao crispy rice salad specially seasoned with fresh herbs and lime juice. Served self wrapped with green leaf lettuce.” You can get with cured pork, or even get it vegan or vegetarian. There are also a number of gluten-free options on the menu.

There’s seating inside but they have a nice setup for outdoor seating, too.

So head on over to Cully Central and Khao Niew (Lao Street Food) for lunch starting next month. It will be great to have this option!
