BuzzCutt App Launch Party This Weekend

Back in January, I wrote about BuzzCutt, an app that will help you find non-alcoholic/zero proof drinks at local restaurants and bars. At that point, the founders, Sarah and Olivia Sears, were starting to promote the app—this week, the app launches and there will be a celebratory launch party—BuzzCutt Summer Fest—in its honor this weekend.

The BuzzCutt launch party is on Saturday, June 17 from 5pm to 9pm at For Bitter For Worse in North Portland. Tickets are $12 and with that you get access to the party and all the fun, plus two NA drinks from  Aprch (CBD sparkling water), Athletic Brewing (NA beer, and my favorite NA beer brand to date), and Recess (canned mocktails).

There will also be NA drink tastings (and for purchase) from For Bitter For Worse (less-sweet mocktails), Wilderton (non-alcoholic spirits), Pink Cloud Beverages (NA functional hemp (CBD) beverages), Joyus (NA wine), Parch (NA agave spirits/mocktails), Guayakí (yerba mate drinks), as well as the aforementioned Athletic Brewing, Recess, and Aprch. As for eats, look forward to Filipino food from Baon Kainan and açai bowls from Carioca Bowls. I hear there will also be jello wrestling.

Non-edible elements of the event are tunes spun by DJ Jess the Ripper, a photobooth, raffles, BuzzCutt merch, floaties, and super bonus: hugs from Caesar the Llama.

But the most important thing about this whole shebang is that those who do not drink alcohol—for whatever reason—will have an easier time finding NA drinks at local spots, thanks to the BuzzCutt app. And those who do drink but are curious about the world of non-alcoholic drinks will also have an easier time of it when it comes to tracking them down and socializing with them.

So get your tickets (you can purchase them here through Eventbrite) and join the NA party—I’ll be there. See you then!
