This morning Maya Lovelace of Mae fame sent out an email announcing her next project: she’s opening a restaurant. The plan is to open in spring 2018; she is not revealing the restaurant’s name just yet, but rest assured that the food with be Southern comfort.

Portland Area CSA Coalition is Hiring

A CSA bounty is a beautiful thing.

Over the weekend I got an email from the Portland Area CSA Coalition (PACSAC),  a local 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to to promoting Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) in the Portland area, about a job opening in their organization. The position they are hiring for is Program Director (part time) and it pays $14.75 – $16.75 per hour, plus paid time off; schedule is flexible within the 20 hours per week the job demands.

Sizzle Pie Will Open in Portland Hollywood Atomic Pizza Spot

I’m currently out of town on a “working vacation,” but I still got the news via email from the neighborhood that Sizzle Pie is moving into the old Atomic Pizza space next door to the Hollywood Theatre. Their Instagram account confirms their arrival in late October, and a renovation.
