Portland! It’s where I live, work, and play. It’s where the food news happens (at least most of it). This category is one of the real constants on Bridgetown Bites and is probably a part of almost every post on this blog.
A new pizzeria will open in the South Waterfront neighborhood called Andiamo Pizzeria. Conceived as an upscale pizzeria “that brings together the spirit of global travel and authentic culinary artistry,” they will offer hand‐tossed, wood‐fired pies in the old Sweet Heart Pizza space in the Griffis South Waterfront apartment building.

Folks in North Portland can now enjoy lunch at Migration Brewing pub on North Williams. They started lunch hours—opening at noon every day except Mondays when they are closed—earlier this month.

After many months of anticipation, the wait is over—99 Ranch Market opened this past Saturday with a big grand opening celebration right outside the new Asian supermarket. It was definitely a festive occasion and we were there drinking it all in and having a good time. Here are some of the things we saw and heard right outside—and inside—the new store.

The Jim & Patty’s return. It’s true, they posted the news this week on their socials: “BIG NEWS, PORTLAND!!! Jim & Patty’s Coffee is BACK!! (under new ownership).” From what I can tell, Paul Ceserani, owner of Spielman Bagels & Coffee, is the new Jim & Patty’s owner. They opened yesterday, August 14, at their previous location on NE Fremont. 4951 NE Fremont Street, Portland

The other day a colleague mentioned that the Can Can Culinary Cabaret is set to open in Portland. I did a little research and saw that the last article on their Portland plans was back in 2022.
