Welcome to August 2025’s review of top posts for the month. This month it was a combination of what’s here and what’s coming as far as cafes, restaurants, markets, and food cart pods go. One thing I noticed is that most of these articles involved more photos than I’ve included in the past—this may or may not be a determining factor but it’s something worth thinking about.

Continue reading “Top 5 Posts on Bridgetown Bites, July 2025”It’s time to review the top posts from last month! In June 2025 it was pretty straightforward: Readers were interested in restaurant and bar openings … and strawberry shortcake. ‘Tis the season, after all.
We got a nice little bump in traffic in June compared to May: About 36,000 unique visitors generated almost 50,000 page views. That’s an increase of approximately 6% and 4%, respectively.

Continue reading “Top 5 Posts on Bridgetown Bites, June 2025”Well, it’s time to look at the top posts from May 2025 on Bridgetown Bites. Last month readers especially liked a couple of roundups and news about few openings in town.
Some updates: 3 Doors Down did indeed open this past week, as per a report from a diner who enjoyed their meal there, though their hours are little unpredictable at the writing of this article. I ate at Paqui Modern Mexican the other day and loved it, especially the ceviche and the garlic green beans. Capes and Crepes soft opened Wednesday, June 4, too.

This time it was pretty much all about openings: restaurants, a bar, and a food cart pod. Nice to see that two cuisines we don’t see too much of here in Portland—Greek and Puerto Rican—were of interest to readers.
As far as traffic goes, numbers gained ever so slightly compared to last month—unique visitors stayed about the same and we had a 2% gain in page views. On the other hand, compared to this time last year we have an increase of 78% for unique visitors and 92% for page views. It’s good to see this kind of growth.
