Here in Portland you can immerse yourself in all things sourdough at the second annual Portland Sourdough Showcase, taking place at Steelport Knife Co. that afternoon. And it’s free to attend!

The Quince Fest 2025 Celebrates This Glorious Fruit in Portland

Quince Fest 2025 will be here soon—just two and a half weeks at the writing of this article. Last year I heard about this festival after the fact and was really disappointed that I missed it. I don’t want to make that same mistake again, so I am here to tell you about next month’s celebration of this ancient fruit.

Small Bites: Cannoli, The Richmond Bar, The Deck, and More

Sunday is for cannoli at Cartopia. Over at the Cartopia food pod Holy Shannoli is doing a cannoli pop-up on Sunday from noon to 8pm. You can see their menu here—much more elaborate than the traditional cannoli decorated with chocolate chips, nuts, or candied citrus peel. 1207 SE Hawthorne Blvd, Portland
