Top 5 Posts On Bridgetown Bites, November 2019

After a little bit of a break (thank you, paid work), I’m back, and so here’s the top five posts from last month, November 2019. There was a lot of traffic thanks to refferals from PDX Eater, for which I am grateful! Here’s what you all liked last month—restaurant news, for the most part. As always, thanks for reading!

5. Second Profession Brewing Partnering With Arrowood Restaurant

While driving along NE Sandy Blvd (again), I noticed that part of Second Profession Brewing windows were papered over—at this point after so many years of neighborhood blogging, papered-over windows always catch my eye and get me wondering. I stopped by and saw that the old pub that was part of the brewery is now going to be the restaurant Arrowood. The pub’s final day of business was July 31.

5. Black Seed Burger Cult Does Not Take Itself Too Seriously

While perusing the latest liquor license applications, I ran across the intriguingly-named Black Seed Burger Cult; they’ve applied for a limited on-premises license. They’re opening up in the old Verde Cocina space (3746 North Mississippi), which closed last January.

Ben & Esther’s Bagels Coming to Sandy Blvd in Roseway

I’ve learned that a new bagel shop is opening up on NE Sandy Blvd next to the Mom & Pop Wine Shop—Ben & Esther’s Bagels. It’s slated to open in October 2019 with a variety of bagels, schmears, salads and beverages.
