OMG figs.
Mark your calendars! The third annual Fig Fest is this Sunday, September 22 from 10am-5pm out at One Green World Nursery, located in the Southeast Portland neighborhood of Pleasant Valley (and not too far from the Leach Botanical Garden, which, if you haven’t been to yet, you need to visit). Figs are one of the most wonderful fruits and I came to love them when I lived in Queens where fig trees (and grape vines) were pretty much everywhere (thanks, Greek and Sicilian immigrants).
