Not to be confused with “Lombardi’s” (trademarked as America’s First Pizzeria®) from NYC, Lombardo’s Pizzeria will be opening in the University Park neighborhood, offering up New Jersey-style pizzas and other Italian-American cuisine.

Coq Au Vin from Sea Breeze Farm/NeverStill Ranch Has Opened in NW Portland

As I was doing some research, I was very happy to come across the news that the folks from Sea Breeze Farm, originally from Vashon Island and now operating at NeverStill Ranch near Birkenfeld, Ore, have established themselves full time in NW Portland as Coq Au Vin. I’m really intrigued about their arrival and future offerings here in Portland.

Small Bites – Closings, Openings, Dumplings, and More

Welcome to a new edition of Small Bites, filled with tidbits and short news items. I’ve felt a little distracted lately, so this post serves, in part, as a place to store recent Portland food news. First, we’ll start with closures.

Closing or Shuttered. It’s hard to say goodbye to quality restaurants in this town, but it happens. Already closed are Grain & Gristle, Rabbits Cafe Killingsworth, and previously reported Rockabilly Cafe. Lokanta is in process of closing.
