Self-billed as “The best Japanese sando in Portland,” the Tokyo Sando cart has really made a splash in Portland’s food scene. And now they are hosting a pop-up starting tomorrow, Wednesday, November 3 as Tokyo Rice, offering “Vol. 1”—Chicken Nanban Rice.

Trinidadian Food Pops Up in Beaumont-Wilshire

I’m a little late to the game, but I had to blog about this Trinidadian food popup at Little Griddle tomorrow, Tuesday October 19 at 3pm. Instagram account Mad Man Pop Up is behind this and the menu for tomorrow looks delicious (and is compatible with today’s earlier post about pumpkin).

5. First Tastes: Nepali Kitchen in Northeast Portland

Despite its failings, there are some gems on Nextdoor when it comes to food. I’ve found direct-access to top-notch sources of Indonesian food, epic Lasagna Bolognese, Texas-style tortillas and plenty of local food recommendations, including the subject of this blog post, Nepali Kitchen. They’ve opened in what seems to be a house on the corner of NE Fremont and 49th Ave (across the street from Stanich’s), with a lovely little courtyard established in the front yard.
