Small Bites: Update on Arrowood, Flock Food Hall, Cassoulet, and More

Update on Arrowood. After I was asked if I had heard any updates from Arrowood (my emails remain unanswered), a neighbor indicated that they had seen a listing online for the Arrowood space. I checked it out, and found a listing on Crexi entitled, “For Lease: Turnkey Restaurant & Bar for Lease.” So, looks like we have the answer: They are done. Harder Day Coffee Is Opening a New Cafe in the Hollywood District

Well friends, this time it’s real—a coffee shop is indeed opening up in the building at NE Sandy Blvd and 46th Avenue. This time around it’s Harder Day Coffee—they’ll bring coffee, beer, and dessert in comfy digs, to the Hollywood District. I met up with Brody Day (and bonus: Allie Heckman, Director of Operations), one of the co-owners of Harder Day (and Steeplejack Brewing) to chat with him about what they have planned for the cafe, and see where they are in the process of opening.

Wholesome Blends Has Closed, The Whole Bowl Trailer Has Moved (Twice!)

After having breakfast at Jim and Patty’s and searching for an elusive geocache in Rose City Park, I headed home down Sandy Blvd and was startled to see that Wholesome Blends (4615 NE Sandy Blvd) had closed! The Whole Bowl trailer that was on the property was also gone, moving further into the Hollywood District, but is now back on Sandy.

The message says “Open till 1pm Christmas, then it is the end for Wholesome Blends.” You can see below that the whole place is cleared out.
