Welcome to September 2025’s review of top 5 posts for the month. It was more of a mixed bag this month: an event, a technical post, a couple of openings, and a “coming soon.”
Continue reading “Top 5 Posts on Bridgetown Bites, September 2025”Well, it’s time to look at the top posts from May 2025 on Bridgetown Bites. Last month readers especially liked a couple of roundups and news about few openings in town.
Some updates: 3 Doors Down did indeed open this past week, as per a report from a diner who enjoyed their meal there, though their hours are little unpredictable at the writing of this article. I ate at Paqui Modern Mexican the other day and loved it, especially the ceviche and the garlic green beans. Capes and Crepes soft opened Wednesday, June 4, too.

A holiday roundup, news of restaurant openings, and the first look at the Flock Food Hall from this past January all caught your collective eyes.
However, Google launched a core update in mid-March, and Bridgetown Bites unfortunately was affected (I can see the downward line on a graph of engagement in my analytics). Over 22,600 unique visitors generated almost 30,000 page views. Popular posts included our list of Thanksgiving resources at the top of the heap. Interestingly enough, our article on Fancy Baby was also in the top 5, along with a long-time restaurant closing, a far-future opening of a new public market, and some pizza.
As always, thanks to you for reading, sharing, and commenting—and for your tips!
5. Fancy Baby Will Bring “The Craziest Champagne List” to NW Portland
Thanks to a Bridgetown Bites tipster, I’ve learned that new wine and Japanese-inspired listening bar called Fancy Baby is going to open in the Pearl District. This location on NW Glisan used to be home to CULT, a store that sold art, collectibles, ephemera, and more. Update: They are now open.
Continue reading “Top 5 Posts on Bridgetown Bites, November 2024”I know I sound like a broken record, but it’s always interesting to see what the top 5 posts are the most-read in any given month. In October it was restaurant openings, the bread festival, and our list of Thanksgiving in Portland options (which has been updated multiple times with new places to get pies, turkey, and more).
Also In October we saw over 22,000 unique visitors who generated close to 29,000 page views. That’s an increase of 17% and 26%, respectively, from the previous month.
As always, thanks for reading, sharing, commenting, and for your tips. And I hope you cast your vote by 8pm today!
Haitian food lovers, you have something to celebrate—TAPTAP Cuisine is opening a brick-and-mortar restaurant on NE Sandy Blvd. They operated on N WIlliams as a food truck with a nice (covered) outdoor seating area for many months, but now they have leveled up into a building where they can create, prepare, and offer their beautiful Haitian and Caribbean cuisine in NE Portland.
