I’ve been watching this for a while now and wanted to share the news—Reeva, a “family-owned and operated food truck that will offer a variety of delicious coffee, breakfasts, lunch specials, and wood-fired pizzas, all with a touch of love and Latin-American inspired recipes.” They are open at 77th & Sandy, in the Blossom Landscape & Design parking lot, which also used to be home to a great Subaru mechanic (I miss them).
You can see some photos of their pies on their Instagram feed, and they look pretty good. Neighborhood feedback has also been very good. Early on they were offering slices, but I suspect whole pies will be the standard.
On April 13 they revealed their newest creation: the Pizzaleada, which is a kind of breakfast/brunch pizza. “We took inspiration from the Honduran ‘Baleada.’ The Pizzaleada is a combination of refried beans, cheese, and sour cream served as a pizza. You can add an egg, avocado, chorizo, and other toppings to your liking!”
They are serving coffee in the mornings—lattes, mochas, cappuccinos, and the like. They are using beans from from Tostado Coffee Roasters. They are a “specialty small batch coffee roaster company that sources sustainable green beans, farmed in the Sierra Madre mountains of Chiapas and Oaxaca, Mexico.” They roast and pack in SE Portland and are fair trade and organic.
UPDATE 4/14/22: You can find Reeva open Monday to Wednesday from 7am to 5pm; Thursday to Saturday from 7am to 8pm; closed on Sundays.
So stop on by and get a pizza or a coffee, and support a new food truck in Roseway!
