It’s Vendor Application Season for the Rocky Butte Farmers Market

I saw the news this week about vendor applications for the Rocky Butte Farmers Market and it warmed my heart. I’m so glad they’ll be back again for another season of weekly markets. I really enjoyed shopping there last year.

If you’ve been a reader of this blog for a while, you know I’ve been involved with the Rocky Butte Farmers market since their first year of monthly markets at Dharma Rain. Sometimes as a writer for them, sometimes just as a shopper, I love this market. And I’d love to see more vendors participate this year. So, if you know any farmers, cheesemakers, bakers, fisherfolk, ranchers, and makers, please send them to the RBFM to join the market for a new season.

One notable thing about the Rocky Butte Farmers Market: that they make an exceptional effort to help those starting out to launch their new small business. This has been part of the mission of the RBFM from the start.

Potential vendors (including those returning) can head to the RBFM’s Farmspread page to start the application process. Any questions about the market or application process can be sent to managers@rockybuttemarket.com. At this point, I know the market takes place on Saturdays from 9am to 1pm, June through September at the huge parking lot next to Mannahouse Church, atop the actual Rocky Butte.

Here’s to a great season at the 2023 Rocky Butte Farmers Market!
