Getting to this a little later than I’d like, as I’ve been buried under a massive pile of client editing work in April. I love it, but it’s a lot right now. Anyway, March 2023 was a good month for the blog. Close to 8,900 unique visitors arrived and a little over 14,000 page views were generated, which might be a record at this point in time.
News of bars, restaurants, and food cart pods were the name of the game in May. Thanks, as always, for reading!
5. The My-O-My Arrives on NE Sandy Blvd This Summer

Yesterday I published a speculative post about the old Rocky Butte Pub space on NE Sandy near 86th Ave. Fortunately, a reader tipped me off to what is actually going in there: the new place will be called the My-O-My ,”Your Favorite Bar East of 82nd.” The folks from the White Owl Social Club are behind it.
4. The Ranger Station Has Closed

In my inbox was the news from a Bridgetown Bites reader that The Ranger Station has closed as of March 1, 2023. They directed me to the bar’s announcement on Instagram: “Hey Friends! We want to thank everyone for a great 9 years (yes 9!) on 43rd and Hawthorne. As of March 1st we will no longer be at this location.”
3. Wonderlove Coming to Central Eastside

I’ve become aware of a new Central Eastside “destination” in the works, named Wonderlove aka Wonderlove Fun Factory. It will be located in the “outdoor yard space of Love Bucket, a bike helmet and skateboard manufacturer.” It will offer live music, and include food carts and a shipping container bar.
2. Three Fifty Cafe Opening in Former Prescott Cafe Space in Cully

The speculation is over—the old Prescott Cafe, which closed at the end of September 2022, is not being razed for housing but is being reborn into Three Fifty Cafe, a new bakery and shop (which looks like it started as a home-based bakery where you order then pick up baked goods at the baker’s home; it was a very popular kind of commerce during the pandemic). They will sell Vietnamese food and drink. More specifically, to quote their Facebook page, they are “offering a unique blend of traditional and modern Vietnamese flavors.”
1. The Heist Food Cart Pod to Open in Woodstock This Spring

A new food cart pod named The Heist is slated to open up in the Woodstock neighborhood this spring. It will be located at the former US Bank branch site and offer outdoor and indoor options.

Do you know why Fuller’s on NW 9th is boarded up?
I’m not positive but I think it has to do with the fire from mid-February. They are determined to re-open, so that’s good news.
