I’m so pleased to tell you that the Rocky Butte Farmers Market is returning, in its second year of weekly markets starting on Saturday, June 3. There will be affordable locally grown foods and artisan products, as well as weekly children’s activities, live entertainment, and a dog-friendly, energetic block party vibe! I’m super chuffed for this.
As I mentioned, the market opens on Saturday June 3, and operates weekly on Saturdays until September 30, from 9am to 1pm. It returns to the big parking lot at Mannahouse Church, atop the Rocky Butte. It’s super easy to drive there and park, but bicycling is another option, and the bus (line 24) drops you off at NE Fremont & 88th heading downtown (westbound) or NE Fremont & 89th heading toward Gateway (eastbound).
Market organizers are thrilled to announce new and returning vendors this season (see the list here), offering everything from local produce, meat & fish to pottery and handcrafted goods. Vendors will accept Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP) for payment and Double Up Food Bucks is offered through a partnership with the Farmers Market Fund.

“We pride ourselves on offering a space for community building and growing connections, in addition to supporting local farmers and talented makers,” said Benjamin Cutler, co-founder and board President. “Rocky Butte Farmers Market is much more than a place of commerce. Come meet your neighbors, make new friends, interact with vendors and entertainers, and join us in further strengthening what we already love about our unique neighborhoods.”
You can see who’s playing music, spinning tunes, and providing entertainment on the Music & Events page or the image below. This is a great opportunity to enjoy music in an open-air space surrounded by the proverbial good vibes.

New this year is the Community Table program. The market is offering community members a low-risk and cost-effective way to sell home-grown and homemade food items at the market.

For the youth among us, educational children’s programming will be offered weekly, suitable for all ages. Market-goers ages 3 to 13 who stop by the Kids Patch each get a free $5 token to spend during their visit. Your well-behaved dog is also welcome, and there will even be fresh water and treats for them at the info booth. Truly, there is something for everyone.
I can’t wait to stop by on Saturdays to support the market and purchase interesting, beautiful, and delicious things there. See you June 3!
