The other day I got news of the opening of a new cart in the Cartopia food cart pod called Burger Ritual. I was intrigued by the people behind the business, and was really taken by their branding, in part as someone who spent time studying Medieval music. So, I reached out to see if we could get together and chat about the business and their work. Here is what I learned.

Small Bites: Cannoli, The Richmond Bar, The Deck, and More

Sunday is for cannoli at Cartopia. Over at the Cartopia food pod Holy Shannoli is doing a cannoli pop-up on Sunday from noon to 8pm. You can see their menu here—much more elaborate than the traditional cannoli decorated with chocolate chips, nuts, or candied citrus peel. 1207 SE Hawthorne Blvd, Portland

Rosenstadt Taproom Is Open in Northeast Portland

Rosenstadt Taproom is open!

This week I was contacted by Nick Greiner, co-founder of Rosenstadt Brewery, with some good news: “After ten years in business as wholesale only to restaurants and retailers … we’ve opened a taproom in Portland.” It looks like they are occupying the former Culmination Brewing space.
