Great news—the Rocky Butte Farmers Market will operate weekly this year! From June 4 to September 24 you’ll be able to shop every Saturday during these four months.
This Saturday is the penultimate market day of the Rocky Butte Farmers Market, located right on the Rocky Butte itself. This past Saturday was the third installation of the 2021 season of the Rocky Butte Farmers Market, located on the Rocky Butte itself. I had attended the first market of the year but was very sick (thanks to adjusting to a new cancer drug) and couldn’t stay long; I was out of town for July’s market. I stopped by the Rocky Butte Espresso Bar earlier this week and thought I’d share an update on what’s up with them these days. First, my latte with a touch of cardamom syrup (from Portland’s own Holy Kakow) was very good, and it was great to chat with James Helms, one of Rocky Butte’s owners (Parkrose’s Bryan Atkinson is another owner) and barista extraordinaire. We love having them out here in our little corner of Portland (Sumner-Roseway-Madison South), which I continue to enjoy more and more the longer I live here.
