Changes at Rocky Butte Espresso Bar

Yesterday morning I stopped in at the Rocky Butte Espresso Bar—the space has changed quite a bit and all for the better. The most prominent adjustment is the presence of indoor seating settled around the edges of the room. They’ve also moved the counter further back and to the right.

The coffee is as good as ever and as I mentioned earlier this month, you can get their new signature roast: Morning Star. FWIW, their Boulder Blend is my favorite and we love using it in our espresso machine at home.

One cool little thing they have going is a community tea box—take a bag, leave a bag. Kind of like a Little Free Library, which they also have indoors on the bookshelf.

So stop on by, get a coffee, grab a pastry, buy some beans, and enjoy this sweet space tucked in the Madison South neighborhood. Owner James Helms says there may be other great changes coming, and we look forward to seeing them when they arrive.
