Lil’ Barbecue, Coming to the Woodlawn Neighborhood in Portland

Woodlawn is in the news here at Bridgetown Bites. First we published details about LaVerne’s opening this month on NE Dekum Street. Now we are happy to share the news of Lil’ Barbecue arriving in the area, too. They’ll also be on NE Dekum (but on the opposite side of the neighborhood), bringing great barbecued meats and more out of the kitchen at the Tough Luck bar. I spoke with Ben Vaughn the other day about their plans, and here is what I’ve learned.

Allgood Brewing Will Open by the Farmhouse Carts in Portland

A new brewery and taphouse from Allgood Brewing Company is opening in that building just south of the Farmhouse Carts pod (a space just north of Cibo on SE 35th Place. They’ll bring beer, food, and more to this location in the heart of the Richmond neighborhood.

Vtopian and Adelleda Will Open in Portland’s Central Eastside

What was once the location of the controversial Flour Bloom cafe, bakery, and plant shop, will become home to Vtopian Artisan Cheeses and Adelleda. We received a press release from the Vtopian folks, and here are the details.

LaVerne’s Will Open in Portland’s Woodlawn Neighborhood

LaVerne’s is coming to Woodlawn. This new bar and restaurant is part of a triune space that also includes a private event area and The Village Ballroom upstairs. They are looking to open in late September (updated from 9/19 to closer to 9/26) on NE Dekum Street in Northeast Portland’s Woodlawn neighborhood.

What We Know About Hearth & Vine, Opening in NW Portland’s Pearl District

Back in 2019, Henry’s Tavern in the Pearl District closed its doors forever. Earlier this spring it became clear that there were plans to alter the space, with a new tenant to move in when the time was right. According to city documents, that tenant is called Hearth & Vine. Here is what we know so far.
