First it was Monster Smash; then it was Lawless BBQ. Now, the latest food cart to hit the back patio at My-O-My is Ooba, offering sushi nigiri and rolls, bowls, and more.
As many of you know, I love the Rocky Butte Farmers Market and have talked about it on the blog a number of times before. The market season is over, but now ’tis the season for giving—and that includes and opportunity to support this great market serving Northeast Portland neighborhoods, outside of the active market season. On my drives up and down Sandy Blvd, I will pass what has been, for a number of years, the Rocky Butte Pub. A true dive bar (to put it lightly), it was a place that cherished its regulars, was a little intimidating to outsiders, and had the requisit pool tables, stiff drinks & standard bar food, and video lottery. But changes have been afoot, and my research gives me hope as to what could be opening up there.
Last time I stopped in here it was spring and I was living in the Hollywood District, looking forward to changes coming to my neighborhood (e.g. Gado Gado, Black Rock Coffee).
