I love dumplings—and I love promoting Dumpling Week here on the blog because it’s one of my favorite themed food fests in Portland. Many thanks to the Oregonian for producing it each year. Basically you get some special dumplings for $14 or less per plate (up from $10/plate in 2019). Simple and delicious, from Sunday, January 29 to Saturday, February 4.

Most of the dumplings have flavor profiles you’d find in Asian restaurants, but there are some western styles, too (e.g., chicken and dumplings). Here’s what we know of at the time of this writing: I’ll update as the O updates. There are 32 restaurants participating this year.

  1. Bantam Tavern listed our dumpling as Beef brisket, mushroom dumplings in ox tail broth with fermented black bean and carrot scallion salad. Is it too late to get us off the TBD?
