The 2026 FIFA World Cup is almost upon us! The friendlies have been happening since last weekend, but the 104 official competitive matches (here’s the schedule) start Thursday, June 11 and go until Sunday, July 19. That final match will take place at MetLife Stadium at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford, NJ (home of the NY Giants and NY Jets).

But enough about the east coast. Here are some suggestions on where you can watch the matches here in Portland—most watch opportunities are free/no cover, but we’ve indicated if there are ticket prices (no dynamic ticket pricing here).

2026 FIFA World Cup: All the Matches

Away Days Brewing

This is a big one and it is ticketed. “We’re transforming the iconic historic U.S. National Bank Building in downtown Portland into the ultimate World Cup fan fest.” They’re calling it Soccer Fest, and will show daily matches on a big screen, with the capacity for hundreds of fans to join and enjoy. There will be plenty of beer, DJs, some pop-ups, merch, and games. Champs Burgers is also there, as well as La Casa de Mama with freshly baked soccer ball and Mexico flag conchas. Yum!

Tickets start at $10 (plus fees) per match, which gets you standing room and high top tables. They have higher-priced VIP options that give ticket holders access to a reserved Pitch Side table at the front of the hall. If you really want to go all out, get the Golden Ticket for $450 (there are only 50 of them), which gets you into all the matches, plus an exclusive merch pack with Away Days Soccer Fest gear. You can get your tickets on their TicketSpice page.

Beulahland

They’ve been a reliable place to watch the World Cup in past years, and no doubt that will continue this year. They’ll likely have a few TV screens showing the matches—and did you they’ve been into sports since 1997?

Dingo’s Sports Pub

This Aussie sports bar identifies as “SE Portland’s ripper spot for FIFA World Cup Soccer.“ You can join them for “a crackin’ match-day experience” on their Dingotron—their legendary giant wall screen. They are particularly excited to show the USA vs. Australia match live on Friday, June 19 at noon, with multiple screens, food, beer, and high energy. They’ll be showing all the matches, too.

GOL

“At GOL PDX, we’re all about the love of the beautiful game, and how it’s one of the few things that unifies the whole world.” If any established soccer bar should be on one of these lists, it’s this one.

They’ll be showing all the matches, making as much space as possible for fans, and there will be concessions (food and drink, not the giving up of things), too.

Prost!

It’s the “Summer of Soccer” at the Prost! German tavern. They’ve teamed up with NIKE for the “Prost Soccer Haus,” and an exclusive official beer—“Schwüsch Pils”—from Breakside. They’ll be showing all the matches on their “massive TVs,” one of which has a 10 foot by 16 foot screen.

Sticky Wicket

Known as the city’s only dedicated cricket bar, they’ll be showing the World Cup matches whenever they’re on when they are open. Here’s the games they are particularly excited about

T.C. O’Learys

This popular Irish pub will be showing all World Cup matches, “so whoever you’re supporting, you’re welcome at the pub!” Unfortunately, the Republic of Ireland did not qualify through the UEFA pathway; apparently it was a heartbreaking loss. So, at T.C. O’Leary’s, they are rooting for the Ivory Coast team, Les Éléphants.

The Fields Bar & Grill

This is a popular Timbers spot, so I expect they’ll be showing World Cup games, too. No specials noted (yet), but I wanted to get this place on the list regardless.

Wonderlove

They’ll be showing all the World Cup matches live with indoor and outdoor viewing options. There will be food and drink available, and I like that they did a shout out to the single viewer: “Bring your crew or come solo—either way, this is your spot to watch.”

2026 FIFA World Cup: Specific Watch Dates

A scene from the World Cup in 2014 that I'll never forget: Colombia vs. Brazil, with fans watching at Colombian restaurant Basurero on Steinway Street in Astoria, NY. People were spilling out onto the sidewalk. It was mayhem! And awesome. Looking forward to more awesome during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Pioneer Courthouse Square

“Celebrating soccer in Portland’s living room,” is how the Portland Timbers Soccer Celebration event is described. This is hosted by the Portland Timbers, and “will feature interactive activities, local food carts, merchandise stands, fan giveaways as well as live viewings of select FIFA World Cup 26 matches.” It all happens Friday, June 12 to Monday, June 15. It’s free and open to all ages.

Portland Timbers CEO Heather Davis said this: “This will be a fun and engaging space to enjoy the world’s biggest sporting event right in the heart of downtown. We’re really excited to bring fans from all walks of life together for an unforgettable weekend at Pioneer Courthouse Square.”
