And this year, western and Orthodox Easter do not fall on the same day (they are a week apart, with Orthodox Easter arriving on the 12th of April). The donuts of Portland. Comedian Brandon Lyons is going to all the donut shops in Portland. He started with Coco Donuts. Spoiler: he is not into the mochi donut (at least the ones at Coco), but liked the raised glazed, which is the standard donut he’s using when possible. Woodblock Bakery Will Open in Woodblock Chocolate in Portland

A new bakery called Woodblock Bakery will set up shop in Woodblock Chocolate’s cafe space at their Manufactory very soon. Veteran baker Jesse Schumann is behind the new bakery and he brings with him a team of local industry pros to offer high-quality baked goods, coffee, and service. They plan to open on Wednesday, August 6.
