Valentine’s Day 2026 falls on a Saturday, which means both daytime and evening celebrating and canoodling are fair game. From the restaurant: “Andina will be celebrating Valentine’s Day with a three-course dinner featuring Andina favorites, as well as Valentine’s Day specials. There will also be live music, an indulgent selection of sommelier-selected wines available for purchase, and sweet treats to complement an unforgettable evening. Featured dishes include Lomo a la Parrilla, Mariscos en ‘Papillote,’ and Ocopa de Calabaza.

Bergerac is offering a four-course prix fixe meal for Valentine’s Day. “Celebrate your Valentine with a cozy, French dinner designed for an intimate and romantic night out. Inspired by classic French flavors and winter comfort, the evening begins with a glass of bubbles before a thoughtfully crafted four-course menu.” 

The cost is $120 per guest with a $45 optional wine pairing, and optional Valentine’s cocktails to choose from; vegetarian and pescatarian options are available, just indicate that when you book your seats, which you can do on their Open Table page. Here is the menu:

Canard Portland

Canard is doing a Valentine’s thee-course dinner. It costs $95 per person. Note: Their standard a la carte menu will not be available (they also can’t accommodate dairy-free or vegan dietary restrictions). Here is the menu:

  • Course 1: Choice of honey-roasted apple Caesar OR Wagyu Steak Tartare OR foie gras dumplings.
  • Course 2: Choice of chicken-fried trout OR Steak Frites OR Ricotta gnocchi.

Clink!

Clink! down in Salem will be offering a special Valentine’s Day menu from Wednesday, February 11 to Sunday, February 15. Additionally, on Thursday, February 12 they will be launching their Valentine’s Chef’s Tasting Menu. Seatings are at 4pm and 6pm (as of the writing of this, the 8pm seating is unavailable).

The tasting menu is $95 per person and guests can add on a wine pairing for $45 or an NA pairing for $35. Reservations can be made on their Open Table page or via the Clink! website.

Coquine

For Valentine’s Day at Coquine, you can eat at the bar or in the dining room, and it’s $75 per person (pre-paid) no matter which you choose. Reservations at the bar are for parties of two; in the dining room, parties of two or four.

You can select what you’d like to eat from their à la carte menu, or choose to hand your dinner decisions over to the kitchen for their “Chef’s Choice” five-course prix fixe menu. For the latter option, they are happy to omit items when possible, but can’t make substitutions or special dietary accommodations. If you eat at the bar, it’s 21+ only.

They are offering a Valentine’s pasta special: Winter Truffle Tagliolini with handmade tagliolini, butter, Parmiggiano-Reggiano, and winter Italian black truffles. Drink specials include a Roasted Strawberry Clover Club, Roasted Strawberry Old Fashioned, and a Champagne & Chocolate Covered Strawberry Jello Shot.

Javelina

Javelina is doing a seven-course Valentine’s Day tasting menu they call “Sacred Fire,” with the overall theme of warmth, love, and light. It costs $185 per person, and there are add-ons available: NA cocktails for $80; Indigenous & sacred tea pairings for $50; and Indigenous, women-owned and BIPOC wine pairing for $100. Each dish comes with a story or education.

L’Orange

L’Orange is doing a special Valentine’s Day tasting menu. It’s $250 per person. It’s six courses (plus bonus items) with wine or NA pairings included. Be sure to indicate your preferred pairing when you book your reservation, which you can do on their Open Table page.

Of note: “Most of our menus are designed with dietary preferences and allergies in mind. Unfortunately, we cannot make individual modifications for this event.”

Mis Tacones

Valentine’s Day is February 14, of course—but it also happens to be Mis Tacones’ fourth year brick-and-mortar anniversary. Tickets are $125 per person (with window seats priced at $90 each). There are three seatings: 3pm to 5pm, 6pm to 8pm, and 9pm to 11pm. And while V-Day is a day usually embraced by couples, Mis Tacones welcomes the solo diner, too. 

Each ticket includes:

  • Two drinks—it’s an open bar, with NA and alcoholic beverages available).

No Sabo in South Portland is offering a six-course prix fixe dinner for two for $125 (excluding gratuity); welcome bubbles included! Sabrina says, “The menu is designed to feel romantic, fun, and very ”No Sabo'”! 

They will be open from noon to 8pm on the 14th—however, dinner and the special menu for two will start at 5pm, and no a la carte menu will be available after 5pm. You can make your reservation here.

Nostrana

For their “Festa di San Valentino,” Nostrana’s Chef Bryan Donaldson and his culinary team will present a special three-course menu to celebrate Valentine’s Day weekend, including optional wine pairings. They’d like for you to choose your party’s course selections that night, which you can do via this Google form, which also has the menu for the night.

Dinner starts at $135/person, non-inclusive of supplements and a 22% service charge. FYI that night  the regular Nostrana dinner menu will not be available.

For Valentine’s Day they will offer their regular menu, as well as a “Lovers Paella.” It will have a split lobster tail, scallops, and an optional beef add-on. Upstairs will be their “Tik-Easy” (tiki bar + speakeasy) with a Tiki celebration. It’s a chance to get to know their new Tiki-inspired drinks, enjoy small bites, and “Get Lei’d” for Valentine’s Day.

They are offering a Valentine’s prix fixe dinner. It costs $105 per person This four-course menu is served from 5pm to 9pm. Here are the menu details:

  • Third: Herb-Crusted Filet of Beef, Pan-Roasted Salmon OR Wild Mushroom & Ricotta Gnocchi with black truffle cream.

  • A late-night menu and drinks are available from 9am to 11pm.

The Bitterroot Club

On Valentines Day at 6:30pm, they are doing a Truffle and Wine Dinner, hosted by Chef Doug and AJ. It’s $250 per person (18% service charge will be added to your total during checkout) for parties of one to three persons. It includes:

  • A four course, truffle-filled, family style meal (communal table).
  • A curated wine pairing of some of AJ’s favorite wines from the Bitterroot Cellar. Non-alcoholic pairing available upon request.
  • Endless mugs of Tack Shack Lager from their signature frosty mugs.
  • They are unable to accommodate dietary restrictions or menu changes for this special dinner.

Chocolates

There are some local chocolate makers providing delicious treats that are worth considering. 

  • Cloudforest. Makers of a variety of square chocolate bars and the amazing Magic Spread. 935 SE Hawthorne Blvd, Portland
  • Creo Chocolate. A bean-to-bar chocolate maker with a relatively new chocolate lab in Northeast Portland. 122 NE Broadway, Portland
  • Missionary Chocolates. Vegan chocolates with a retail space in the Hollywood District. 1925 NE 42nd Avenue, F, Portland
  • Ranger Chocolate Co. A bean-to-bar chocolate company located in Southeast Portland, which hosted the inaugural Craft Chocolate Festival last year. 107 SE Washington Street, Portland
  • Wildwood Chocolate. Maker of chocolate bars, drinking chocolate, and caramels. Plus their Berry Berry Hearts are around the time of year. Multiple locations

Additionally there’s The Meadow and Providore shops that offer a variety of chocolates. You may also know I enjoy certain unsweetened chocolates, which I developed a taste for during cancer treatment. You can find that roundup from last year. Recently at the NW 23rd Ave location of The Meadow, I purchased a bar of Mission Chocolate’s 100% Cacau Amazonia and it was wonderful!

Doe Donuts

Doe Donuts has brought back their Conversations Hearts donuts for Valentine’s Day. These are available as a special order. It’s a box of four hearts: Apricot, Strawberry, Chocolate filled with Berry Jam, and Lavender. The box costs $22.

  • The pick-up window is Thursday to Saturday, February 13 to 15.
  • Indicate the date and time you want to pick up.
  • Indicate the messaging option: sweet, spicy 1, or spicy 2.
  • If you want custom words on it, they can do that; it’s an extra $1 per donut. Be as spicy as you like.

FIKA

Joe at FIKA is putting together his Valentines Truffle Gift Boxes. There are a dozen truffles in total. Boxes are $34 when you pick them up locally, and $45 shipped.

Flavors include a mix of Bourbon Salted Caramel, Key Lime, Cherry Amaretto, Yuzu, Osmanthus Apricot, and Passionfruit. He says about the osmanthus, “For those of you not familiar with Apricot Osmanthus it’s derived from the fragrant flower of an Asian tree and has a subtle apricot flavor I find really interesting.”

Oyatsupan Bakers is offering Valentine’s Day pre-orders, which include:

  • 6” Chocolate Whipped Cream Cake filled with local mixed berry preserves, finished with sablé cookies, and topped with a sweet conversation heart message.
  • Cookie Gift Packs, featuring one heart-shaped sugar cookie and one heart-shaped chocolate sablé cookie, finished with chocolate drizzle and festive sprinkles.

“Palomar won’t necessarily be doing a Valentine’s-specific menu, but what we are doing that whole week is pretty exciting. The Tuesday after Valentines Day is Mardi Gras. I’m originally from New Orleans and wanted to celebrate this year by doing a menu of food and drink for the entire week leading up to it.” The dates of this special menu are Tuesday to Tuesday, February 10 to 17.

The menu includes apps, mains, and dessert and looks pretty good. Think Crab Hush Puppies and Oysters Rockefeller; Crawfish Etouffe and a Crab Boil; and King Cake Tres Leches.

Riley Seasonal Cakes

Her cakes are popping up at two spots on Saturday, February 14. Cake slices will be available at both Vintish Interiors (10:30am to 1:30pm) and Makerspace Sellwood (11am to 4pm). Since baker Erin Sosnowchik can’t be at two places at once, Vintish will serve cakes at their place while Erin will be in Sellwood. The two cakes are:

  • DARK CHOCOLATE, PASSION FRUIT & BLACK SESAME: chocolate rye cake, passion fruit curd, black sesame streusel, black sesame buttercream
  • OLIVE OIL, BLOOD ORANGE & WHITE CHOCOLATE: olive oil cake, vanilla custard, blood orange jelly, salted white chocolate buttercream

Steven Smith Teamaker

At their cafes, Steven Smith Teamaker is doing a Valentine’s Tea Flight for $17. “Our three most romantic black, green and herbal teas. Includes Lover’s Leap, Kissmet and Rose City Genmaicha.”

In the daytime hours of Valentine’s Day, you can take an Enchanted Valentine’s Tea. It coasts $98 per person ($35 for children). On Valentine’s Day weekend they are rolling out a new menu, including new gluten-free pancakes. The pancakes are topped with lemon curd, blueberry compote, and vanilla bean whip. Look for strawberries and cream crêpes and shakshuka, as well.

“Create your own elegant mini celebration cake in this hands-on decorating class. Learn simple buttercream techniques, piping details, and finishing touches to make your cake look bakery-perfect.” No experience is necessary.

Peacock PDX

Head to Peacock for the Wreck Your Ship, a 21+ OFMD (Our Flag Means Death) Drag Show, on Saturday, February 14 from 7pm to 10pm. Hosted by Fanny Devito and Maron Ett. Tickets are $7.77 to $1—buy tickets here. Description from the event organizers:

Pomalo Bar is hosting a “Paint Your Partner” date night in collaboration with Craft Collective, 7p to 9pm on Valentine’s Day. “Guests are invited to sip, laugh, and paint a portrait of their partner or best friend.” You do not have to be an artist or have any art experience to participate. A prize for the best portrait includes a $50 Bar Nouveau gift card, which is pretty sweet.
