It’s almost Give!Guide time! This annual fundraiser, produced by the Willamette Week and takes place between November 1 and December 31, helps raise funds for nonprofits in the Portland metro area. It’s a significant presence at Bridgetown Bites HQ each year, but we haven’t talked about it much here.
This year, we want to highlight the food aspects of the Big Give Days—there are three days devoted specifically to food, and six days that incorporate food elements into the prizes.
Give!Guide 2025: Some of the Numbers
- Since 2004, Give!Guide has raised more than $73 million.
- Hundreds of local nonprofits have benefitted from this annual project.
- Last year’s campaign raised $8,870,380 from 16,336 donors for 250 local nonprofits.
- Numerous local businesses provide healthy incentives to donors.
Of the 10 categories Give!Guide considers, it is Hunger that is of particular interest to us here at Bridgetown Bites, especially since at the writing of his article, SNAP benefits are faced with a dire future. And, frankly, food is so crazy expensive these days that the risk of hunger is real for many more people than even just a year ago.
Big Give Days During Give!Guide 2025
There are three Big Give Days focused specifically on food: Big Coffee Day, Big Drinks Day, and Big Groceries Day.

Big Coffee Day: Saturday, November 1
The very first day of the Give!Guide is Big Coffee Day. The sponsor is Nossa Familia, Oregon’s first Certified B Corp coffee roaster.
For every donation of $10+ you make that day, you’ll have a chance to win one of three 6-month subscriptions to a Nossa Familia coffee of your choice. If you are 35 years or younger, you’ll get a chance at an additional subscription.
Big Drinks Day: Wednesday, November 19
Two and a half weeks later, we have Big Drinks Day. The sponsors are Soter Vineyards and John’s Marketplace.
For every donation of $10+ you’ll have the chance to win either the Mineral Springs Ranch Experience (for you and seven friends) from Soter Vineyards, or a $100 gift card from John’s Marketplace. If you are 35 years or younger, you’ll have two additional chances to win the $100 gift card from John’s Marketplace.
What to expect during the Mineral Springs Ranch Experience:
- A guided hike through Soter’s biodynamic farm and vineyard, where you get to learn more about them, and enjoy samples of wine that enhance your sense of the place.
- After the tour, you’lll return to the Tasting Room, relax on their patio with a glass of wine, and enjoy a light lunch prepared by Soter’s culinary team.
- NB: The tour will be led by resident Soter educator Dr. Jeff D. Peterson, an expert in Oregon wine, history, and viticulture.
- Each guest gets to take home a bottle of Estate wine and pantry items.
You must be at least 21 years of age to win any of this day’s prizes.
Big Groceries Day: Wednesday, December 17
In mid-December, the focus is on free groceries during Big Groceries Day. The sponsor is New Seasons Market.
For every donation of $10+ you have the chance to win a $500 gift card from New Seasons. If you are 35 years or younger you have five extra chances to win—New Seasons Market is also offering five $100 gift cards. Every donation of $10+ puts you in the running for one of these cards.
