St. Patrick’s Day 2026 in Portland: Food, Drink, and More

This year's Irish culture image for St. Patrick's Day 2026.

St. Patrick’s Day is on a Tuesday this year, still March 17. And why that date? It’s the traditional death date of Saint Patrick (c. 385 to c. 461), the primary patron saint of Ireland. Here in Portland, there are plenty of celebrations on St. Paddy’s Day, as well as those taking place on the weekend prior. And along with the pipers, music, and dancers, there’s plenty of great Irish food and drink to be had. Here’s what’s up in Portland for St. Patrick’s Day 2026.

85th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Celebration

Now in its 85th year, the annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration—produced by the All-Ireland Cultural Society of Oregon (AICS) at Aquinas Hall in the Lloyd District—takes place Tuesday, March 17 from 4pm to 7pm. Called “the best party in town,” this family-friendly event features pipe bands, dancers, live music, face painting, a musical petting zoo, hot and cold food, tea and coffee, and beer and wine.

Tickets are $12 (online) and $15 (at the door) for adults; $7 (online) and $10 (at the door) for youth (ages 12-20). Youth ages 11 and under are admitted free with paying adults. Online ticket prices increase to the door price at 4pm on Monday, March 16. Buy tickets here.
