The Rocky Butte Farmers Market will return for a second popup (read about the first one here) this Saturday, August 3 from 10am-2pm at the Dharma Rain Zen Center, 8500 NE Siskiyou Street in Portland. Portland’s Rocky Butte Farmers Market Recap

Some of the beautiful greens from Starry Moon Farm, a Queer-owned, sustainable, urban micro-farm.

As I mentioned last week, the Rocky Butte Farmers Market had its inaugural pop up and by all apparent metrics, it was a great success. Over 1,000 people attended over the four-hour run, there was everything from vegetables and fruit to honey and soap, ceramics to freshly made tacos, cut flowers and more. Portland Pizza Week 2019 Is Almost Here

Portland has some great food-themed weeks (and months), and the next one on the docket is Pizza Week, produced by the Portland Mercury. From Monday through Saturday, April 15-20, over 40 slices at pizzerias across the city will be available for just $2.

This year there are plenty of puns in the names of the slices: Moroccan Your World, Over Acheeser, This Is Spinal Hatch, and Taco’n It to the Streets, to start. Nice job, everyone.

Main Season Returns to Hollywood Farmers Market in Portland

One of the great things (among many) about living in the Hollywood District is the proximity to the Hollywood Farmers Market. It’s definitely been one of the perks of living in this part of Portland. They host a lot of variety in vendors, have a friendly staff, and it’s an overall pleasant way to spend part of the morning. I took a few photos there on this very rainy morning and wanted to share them here.
