Head to Parkrose for Summer Nights 2025! Next week and next month Historic Parkrose will hold a street fair and night market featuring more than 35 local vendors (food carts and small businesses), performers (live bands and dance groups), and artists, saturating this little corner of Portland with talent. It’s family-friendly and free to attend.

Well, it’s time to look at the top posts from May 2025 on Bridgetown Bites. Last month readers especially liked a couple of roundups and news about few openings in town.
Some updates: 3 Doors Down did indeed open this past week, as per a report from a diner who enjoyed their meal there, though their hours are little unpredictable at the writing of this article. I ate at Paqui Modern Mexican the other day and loved it, especially the ceviche and the garlic green beans. Capes and Crepes soft opened Wednesday, June 4, too.

Strawberry Shortcake Week 2025 is from June 9 to 15. It’s a week of restaurants offering their version of strawberry shortcake, inspired by James Beard’s strawberry shortcake recipe. Last year’s Strawberry Shortcake week was fantastic—full of taste treats—and I expect this year’s to be, too. Over 40 locations will be participating this year.
