As you may know, Bee’s Cakes is now occupying the space at the northwest corner of NE Fremont and 72nd Avenue. It’s currently operating as a wholesale bakery but there are cafe/retail plans in the works (interior renovations continue). However, Rebecca Powazek  (the upbeat force behind Bee’s Cakes) announced that she’s doing a retail bakery pop-up event on Saturday, September 4! So exciting!

They’ll be open from 10am to 3pm that day for walk-up customers, offering breakfast pastries, cookies, desserts, and coffee. Just stop by and get something delicious on the fly. And on top of that you can pick up your pre-ordered September Pastry Box that day. Here are the details for that—I love the mix of savory, sweet, and vegan options:

    • Roasted Red Pepper, Corn & Goat Cheese Hand Pie, $3.25
    • Corn & Beecher’s Cheese Muffin, $3.50
    • Peach & Blackberry Galette, $3.50
    • Brown Butter, Caramel Apricots & White Chocolate Roll, $4
    • Vanilla Cookie & Mixed Berry Icing, $3.25
    • Chocolate Espresso & Hazelnut Blackout Cake, $4/slice
    • Vegan Chai Cake made with One Stripe Chai & Raspberry Jam Cake, $4
    • Vegan Blueberry Pie Roll, $3

You can pick as many as you like, which you can order on this handy-dandy webpage. Just be sure to get your order in by Monday, August 30. No promises, but if they end up having extras of some of the above items, they’ll also be for sale for walk-up on the 4th.

So plan to stop on by and get some delicious pastries and coffee, and maybe pick up a pre-order of some excellent baked goods. Bring a friend! Come support this great new Roseway business. I’ll see you there.
