Sandy-Os Is Open

Thanks to a Bridgetown Bites reader, I’ve learned that Sandy-Os is now open in the Parkrose neighborhood. I spotted the changes coming to this space back in April, and am happy that they finally opened their doors earlier this week.

Their Instagram is now up and running but their website seems to be a little verklempt at the moment but I expect they’ll have that ready soon. On the Instagram you can view a “first look” video, which shows the interior space with plenty of seating, lots of wood paneling on the wall (not that 1970s stuff, though), and a big picture of the Trailblazers. The exterior is also covered with red and white imagery.

They are open daily from 10am to 8pm for dine-in (there’s parking on-site), takeout, and delivery.

The menu is pretty straightforward: smashburgers and sandwiches (hot and cold), a basic house salad, a breakfast sandwich and burrito, sides and drinks. Overall, the menu looks pretty solid and enticing in its flavor combos. View it here.

It’s nice to see the Sandy-Os logo on the Your Neighborhood Restaurant Group website. This company is behind Laurelhurst Market, Ate-oh-Ate, Reverend s BBQ, and Big’s Chicken—so Sandy-Os is in good company.

It’s pretty great to have a place like this at this location on NE Sandy Blvd (Parkrose residents have wanted a sandwich shop for a while now). It joins a growing restaurant strip in Parkrose, including Fork and Spoon Food House (with Chik & Chuck’s Coffee inside), O’Dear Bar & Grill, Pho Le Nguyen, and El Sombrero, as well as old timer Bill’s Steakhouse, Pho DaLat, and Jim Dandy’s.

Welcome to Parkrose, Sandy-Os! I’m glad you’re there. And readers, if you have been, please feel free to comment below with your impressions of the place.
