
Mother’s Day 2025 is almost upon us! From brunch to take-home meal kits to locally-made syrups, here are a variety of food-focused activities for the day this year. And a great way to celebrate mom this year.
Amaterra
This year is their second annual Mother’s Day Brunch. It’s a buffet and costs $76 for adults and $39 for children 12 and under. Look for classic breakfast items, savory treats, desserts, coffee, and assorted teas. They will also be a custom Bloody-Mary bar, Mimosas, and Amaterra’s wines, available for additional purchase. Bakeshop
Quiches, cake, pies, and some take-and-bake items are on the menu for Mother’s Day at Bakeshop.
- Key Lime Pie with candied zest and whip cream

Their popular Mother’s Day brunch buffet—”A smorgasbord of Nordic and brunch favorites for every taste”—is set for three seatings on Mother’s Day. Seatings are at 8am, 10am, and noon (the fourth seating is sold out as of the writing of this article). They’ll offer cold, warm, and sweets items. You can see the menu here. Gracie’s
They’re doing a high tea service the afternoon of Mother’s Day. It features “an exquisite selection of fine teas, freshly baked pastry with clotted cream and jam, savory finger sandwiches, and an assortment of decadent sweets.” $65 per person. Reserve via OpenTable.
It also looks like they are doing a Mother’s Day brunch, too, “a thoughtfully curated menu of seasonal flavors,” from 7am to 1pm. Give them a call for more information at (503) 208-7845.

Grand Central Bakery
Grand Central is offering quiche, coffee cakes, cookies, pies, and pastry boxes. Order here through May 8 off their Mother’s Day menu. Pick-up is between May 9 and 11. More details (copy by Grand Central):
- Family-Sized Quiche (Bacon or Leek). All-butter pie dough is filled with rich egg custard, cheese, and either caramelized leeks or Jack Mountain bacon. 9 inches. Quantities are limited.
- Coffee Cake Rounds. A family-sized version of a tender sour cream cake topped with seasonal fruit and a brown sugar oat streusel! You choose marionberry or rhubarb. Quantities are limited
- Cherry Pink Sparkle Shortbread Bag. A special buttery shortbread cookie with a cherry pink sparkle crunch on top.
- Half-dozen and dozen pastry boxes. A blend of their pastries for your breakfast table, including seasonal pastry items. Specify any special requests for mom in your notes when ordering online.
- U-Bake Marionberry Pies. Packed with juicy Oregon berries and topped with flaky pie dough.

They are offering a Mother’s Day brunch. Reservations are recommended, reserve here. Brunch includes:

They have put together a special menu for Mother’s Day. Pre-order to pick up on Saturday, May 10. Items include a quiche, a spritz cocktail set, gift box, and lemon ginger scones. The Brunch Box, which serves 4 to 6 big people, contains:
- Ready to bake lemon ginger scones (6 each)
- Marinated Burrata with green garlic and house buttermilk crackers
- Spring vegetable quiche with Gruyere and fresh herbs (6-8 slices)
- Farm greens and citrus vinaigrette

Normandie
The folks from Normandie told me, “Not all moms want brunch, so we’re offering a special dinner to celebrate, for moms, or anyone you love, really.” They’ll have a three-course prix fixe dinner for $55 per person, and a special prix fixe for kids (12 and under) for $25. Their regular menu will be available, too. Here is what you can expect for the adult prix fixe:
First course: Little Gems, Shaved Fennel, Green Goddess, Castelvetrano Olives, Belper Knolle
Second course: Spring Chicken, Charred Brocolini, Cured Lemon Vinaigrette, Date Yogurt,
Sumac Pickled Red Onions, Herbs

Providore
This Mother’s Day, Providore will launch their inaugural afternoon tea program called Teatelier. Located in the Providore wine room, they will offer “a unique take on an English tea service that will be something special.” During this first tea they will feature the iconic Parisian tea, Dammann Frères.
