Strawberry Shortcake Week 2025 Starts June 9 in Portland

Strawberry Shortcake Week 2025 is from June 9 to 15. It’s a week of restaurants offering their version of strawberry shortcake, inspired by James Beard’s strawberry shortcake recipe. Last year’s Strawberry Shortcake week was fantastic—full of taste treats—and I expect this year’s to be, too. Over 40 locations will be participating this year.

Like last year, this week-long event is a collaboration between local chefs, growers, and restaurants in Oregon. Part of the price of each strawberry shortcake benefits the James Beard Public Market and its Oregon Taste program.

The Market, by the way, was recently funded by the Portland City Council. They will receive $1 million to go toward construction of the market in downtown Portland. This year’s budget talks have been intense, so it’s no small feat to have been funded, period.
